The 4th leg of the 2013 Woodward Skatepark tour took us to some pretty amazing parks in the tri-state area. With parks like GrindLab in Camp Hill, PA, Charm City Skatepark in Baltimore, MD, and The Incline Club in Lakewood, NJ, we knew we would have no problems getting a bunch of clips together for our three edits. Keith Schmidt has come a long way since his first time coming to Woodward Camp and has earned a spot with Hyper Bikes. Keith grew up locally around Woodward and got a job here doing everything that was asked of him including, building skateparks, helping get camp ready, working on dirt jumps, etc. While Keith has helped us out with all the work he has done, he never lost focus on his true passion; riding his bike. This video section goes to show just how talented he is and that there is much more to come. Be sure to watch Keith throw down a bunch of amazing tricks that were all filmed in one long day. The second leg of the 2013 Woodward Skatepark Tour was a blast as expected. With parks like The Flow, Ollies, and Chenga how could you really go wrong. With great weather and plenty of locals at each park filming was a breeze. Check out the three video edits from each park inside. If you are ever in the area of these parks i would drop what you are doing and stop in.
For the first year ever, Colony of Summer will officially live online for all of your viewing pleasure. With that being said, we have started our release of Colony of Summer 17 with the BMX sections from 2012. Be sure to check out both sections inside.
The 2013 Woodward Skatepark tour started out in upstate New York with amazing stops at Cranx BMX Park (Syracuse) , RASP Skatepark (Rochester) and Xtreme Wheels (Buffalo). While the weather didn't really help us out any the level of riding and skating from all of the locals was top notch. As a part of the tour we made an edit from each of the parks we stopped at. BMX Director Ryan Davis took it upon himself to make a short edit that gives a glimpse into some of his riding here at Camp Woodward this off season. Ryan appropriately named this edit SOLO as it was completely self filmed and edited within about a week. I know he is looking forward to having more of YOU to ride with at camp this summer!
That's Right! We will be on tour, answering questions, filming for video edits, playing games, throwing out goodies, and most of all having fun! We hope to see and film YOU at your local skatepark. Earlier this year we released a tribute to Mat Hoffman's World Record setting High Air. While the clip was obviously fake, the Woodward Digital Media Staff had a blast working with the green screen, Morgan, and the showing the digital media campers some creative skills in creating a viral video. What you might not have known is how hard Morgan actually slammed while creating this video. Check out that and more in this "Behind the Scenes" edit inside.
Chad Kerley and Jeremiah Smith absolutely destroy Woodward as they truly showcase some of the best BMX riding from this past summer. Check this one out. You will be glad you did!
In the final episode of Red Bull Stateside, the crew head out to the original Woodward East before making the journey back to New Zealand. After practicing some new tricks into the foam pit, Jaden and the Bolter brothers reflect on their memorable stateside visit.
