Campers at Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania and California Compete for Trip to Street League Championship and the Chance to Skate among the Pros

Together with Street League Skateboarding, the world-class action sports training facility, Camp Woodward announced today a new partnership that will provide young campers at both Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania and Woodward West in Tehachapi, California the chance to compete each week in a Street League formatted skateboard street series for ten weeks equipped with the contest’s revolutionary instant scoring technology from the scoring team at ISX™ (Instant Scoring experience). The winner from both camps events will return on the final week of Camp to compete in the Woodward Street League Finals. The top three skaters from Pennsylvania and California will be invited to compete in front of a live audience at the Woodward SLS Showdown Finals immediately before at the Street League DC Pro Tour Fueled by Monster Energy Championship at the Prudential Center New Jersey on August 26

“Woodward has always been about providing a unique, unforgettable experience for kids,” said Camp Woodward owner, Gary Ream. “We feel by doing the weekly Street League contests at both camps in Pennsylvania and California with the final showdown in Newark before the Street League Championships, we are not only providing an amazing experience and opportunity for some of our Woodward Campers, but offering them the chance to grow their talents as a skater and possibly become a Street League pro themselves someday.”

“Partnering with Woodward on the SLS Showdown is a perfect way to integrate our series at the grass roots level by having campers on both coasts experience our format, instant scoring, and even what its like to skate in front of an arena full of fans at the most important event in skateboarding – the Street League Championship,” says Street League creator Rob Dyrdek.

“I look forward to working with Woodward to make this a staple their camper experience.”
