The Cheer Program

lee_coaching625_09Instruction

Girls & Boys- Athletes are placed in groups by age and ability level and have one 2 ½ mandatory practice a day.  During this time tumbling is the main focus point while stunting and basket skills are taught utilizing drills and alternate methods. We are proud to maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of not more than 1:8. Also there is an additional 4 ½ hours of tumbling in our fully equipped cheer and open gym. Group stunting is instructed during night open gyms with cheerleaders forming their own stunt groups at their discretion with coach supervision.

Campers are housed with other kids their same gender, age and sport. They enjoy country living in rustic cabins with bunk beds and individual storage space. Each cabin is equipped with air conditioning and an adjacent bathroom. A counselor lives in each cabin with our campers to make sure that everyone of our guests have a rewarding social and learning experience.

CheerFlowersYouth Camp

Woodward developed a Youth Camp to assist younger campers aged 7 to 9 in adjusting to camp life. Youth campers have the same schedule, workout opportunities and use of the facilities as our general camp. They do, however, live apart from older campers with a “mini mom” (girls) and  “mini dad (boys) and have an earlier bedtime (9:30). All campers age 9 and under are required to live in the Youth Camp, however older friends may request to stay with them.
